1. About This App

Daizy is a daily journaling app that helps you capture your thoughts and memories with the assistance of AI. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, and protect your information when you use Daizy.

2. Information We Collect

Data stored locally on your device:

• Diary entries you write (text, photos, voice recordings)
• App settings and preferences
• Writing streak and statistics

Data processed on our servers:

• AI writing assistance requests (text you submit for AI help) — processed via a secure server-side proxy, not stored permanently

3. Information We Do Not Collect

• We do not require account registration
• We do not collect your name, email, or other personal identifiers
• We do not read or store the content of your diary entries on our servers

4. AI Features

When you use AI-assisted writing features (Premium), the text you submit is sent to our secure server-side proxy to generate suggestions. This data is:

• Transmitted securely (HTTPS)
• Not stored permanently on our servers
• Not used to train AI models
• Not shared with third parties beyond what is necessary to provide the AI service

5. Subscriptions

Daizy offers a Premium subscription. Subscription purchases are processed by Apple (App Store). We use RevenueCat to manage subscription status. RevenueCat may collect:

• An anonymous user identifier
• Subscription purchase and renewal events

6. Microphone Usage

The app requests microphone access for voice-to-diary recording (Premium feature). Audio data is:

• Processed entirely on your device
• Never transmitted to external servers

7. Photo Library Usage

The app requests photo library access to allow you to attach photos to diary entries. Photos are stored locally on your device and are never uploaded to our servers.

8. Location Data

The app can optionally record your location when writing a diary entry. Location data is:

• Only accessed when you choose to add location to a diary entry
• Stored locally on your device as part of the diary entry
• Never transmitted to our servers or shared with third parties
• Only collected while the app is in use ("When In Use" permission)

You can deny location permission at any time through your device's Settings, and the app will continue to function normally without it.

10. App Lock

The app offers an optional app lock feature to protect your diary. When enabled, the app can be unlocked using Face ID, Touch ID, or a PIN code. Please note:

• Biometric data (Face ID, Touch ID) is handled entirely by your device's operating system (iOS)
• Daizy never accesses, reads, or stores your biometric data
• PIN codes are stored locally on your device only

11. Notifications

The app may send local notifications to remind you to write your daily diary. These notifications are generated on-device and do not involve transmitting data to our servers.

12. Third-Party Services

13. Data Retention and Deletion

All diary data is stored locally on your device. You can delete your data at any time by deleting the app. We do not retain your diary content on our servers.

14. Children's Privacy

Daizy is not directed at children under the age of 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13.

15. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Any changes will be posted on this page with an updated date.
